Kendal Parent Network, in partnership with Folk & Thread, are delighted to present our Baby Basics Family Festival – a special day to celebrate connection, kindness, and community.
This joyful, family-friendly event will raise awareness and funds for the incredible baby bank charity Baby Basics UK, supporting families with essentials during times of need.
Whether you’re expecting a baby, navigating life with little ones, or simply want to connect with other local families, we would love to see you there.
What to Expect

A programme of friendly, accessible talks from trusted local professionals covering:
- Safe sleep
- Child development
- Feeding support
- Baby wearing
- Speech & language
These sessions are designed to inform, reassure and empower parents in those important early years.

A welcoming play space for little ones, including:
- Hardy Soft Play
- Sign & Sign sessions
There will be plenty of opportunities for babies and toddlers to explore while grown-ups connect.

Browse a curated selection of lovely local businesses offering family-focused products, gifts and services. Refreshments will be available throughout the day.
Raffle
We’ll also be hosting a raffle packed with generous prizes donated by local businesses – with all proceeds supporting Baby Basics South Lakes.

Baby Basics UK provides essential items for families who are struggling to meet the financial and practical burdens of looking after a new baby. From Moses baskets and nappies to clothing and toiletries, their work makes a real difference to families across the country.
