Community
We recognise that we are interdependent; it takes a village to raise a child. A thriving community benefits everyone and creates a positive environment where individuals can grow, learn, and thrive. Positive social connections enhance our own well-being. They also improve the well-being of those around us. This enables us all to be better parents.
Inclusivity
All families in Kendal and the surrounding area are welcome within our parenting community. We recognise that every family is different and we celebrate those differences. When we use the term ‘parent’, we mean ‘anyone who is parenting’.
Cooperation
We can achieve more together than we can separately. Every individual and organisation has different skills and strengths. We strive to collaborate with local people, businesses, groups, and organisations wherever possible. We also encourage parents to cooperate with each other.
